CloudPrint is a secure, intuitive, and efficient printing solution for Feishu Docs, Feishu Approval, Feishu Mail, and other Feishu apps. Once the administrator has configured the settings, members can use their computer or smartphone to send printing requests from a remote location.

II. Steps
There are 4 different printing methods for CloudPrint.
Using a computer
  1. Use the CloudPrint app
Upload file – Go to printer and scan code/Connect to printer without scanning code
  1. Use the CloudPrint client
Send print request from a local file – Go to printer and scan code/Connect to printer without scanning code
Using a smartphone
  1. Use the CloudPrint app
Go to printer – Scan code – Upload file – Send print request
Alternatively: Upload file – Go to printer and scan code/Connect to printer without scanning code
  1. Use the CloudPrint bot
Upload file – Go to printer and scan code/Connect to printer without scanning code
From a computer
Use the CloudPrint app
  1. In the Feishu desktop app, search for and click CloudPrint.

  1. Drag and drop or upload the file you want to print, configure the printing preferences on the settings page, and then click Confirm to send the file to the printing queue.

  1. After receiving the bot notification, click Print.
  1. On your mobile app, tap the Scan icon in the upper-right corner, and then scan the QR code on the printer to print your file. Or select the printer you want to connect to, and then proceed directly to the printer to print your file (no scan required).
Note: Direct printing (no scan required) must be enabled by an administrator. For details, see Admin | Use the CloudPrint admin console.

Use the CloudPrint client
  1. In the Feishu app, search for and click CloudPrint, then click Client in the upper-right corner.

  1. Download and install the client for your operating system.

  1. Follow the on-screen prompts to install and open the CloudPrint app.
  • You'll be redirected to the Feishu login page.
  1. Log in to your account, and then click Reconfigure to automatically apply the default settings.

With the CloudPrint app, you can print files in two ways:
  • Open the file you want to print. Right-click and select Print, or press Ctrl + P / Command + P. From the list of printers, select CloudPrint, and then click Print.
  • After receiving the bot notification, click Print.
  • On the mobile app, tap the Scan icon in the upper-right corner, and then scan the QR code on the printer to print your file. Or select the printer you want to connect to, and then proceed directly to the printer to print your file (no scan required).
You can also use the mobile app to cancel print requests, delete printed files, and edit certain printer settings.

To configure direct printing (no scan required), open the CloudPrint application, click Manage printer, select the printer you want to use, and then click Configure now.

Send a printing request from any app (Windows shortcut: Ctrl + P, Mac shortcut: Command + P), select an existing printer, and then click Print. Once printing is complete, you will receive a bot message to inform you that your files have been printed.

From a smartphone
Use the CloudPrint app
You can print files in 3 ways:
Method 1:
  1. Go to a printer and scan the printer QR code in Feishu to launch the CloudPrint app.
  1. Tap Upload and select an image, document, or Feishu file to upload.
  1. Set the number of copies, orientation, paper size, and other settings, and then tap Confirm > Print.

Method 2:
  1. In Feishu, search for CloudPrint to access the CloudPrint app.
  1. Tap Upload and select an image or file on your phone to upload.
  1. Tap Confirm > Print and select a printer from the list, or go to a printer and scan the printer QR code to start printing.

Method 3:
  1. In Feishu, search for CloudPrint to access the CloudPrint app, and then tap the > icon to enter the Select Printer screen.
  1. Under All Printers, search for and select the desired printer, upload the file you want to print, and then tap Confirm > Print to start printing.

Use the CloudPrint bot
  1. In Feishu, search for the CloudPrint bot, send an image or file from your phone, and wait for the bot to display the Upload Successful prompt.
  1. Tap Print, configure the printing preferences, and then tap Confirm.
  1. Go to the printer. Tap the Scan icon in the upper-right corner of the Feishu app, and then scan the printer QR code to start printing.

III. FAQs
Can I print Feishu Docs directly from my phone?
This feature is not currently supported. To print a Feishu Docs, open the Docs on your computer and print from a local printer.
Why can't I find my uploaded file? Why did files waiting to be printed disappear from the print list?
Uploaded files are automatically deleted from the cloud and the print queue after 2 hours.
What can I do if the uploaded file is too large?
The CloudPrint uploading page only supports files up to 200 MB. If your file is too large to upload, try installing the CloudPrint client, or print from a local printer. Click here to download and install the CloudPrint client.

My document hasn't printed properly, or there is missing content. What should I do?
Solution 1: Try using WPS, Office, or Adobe Acrobat Reader to print the file.
Solution 2: In CloudPrint, switch to Compatibility Mode and try printing the document again. Tap the More icon in the upper-left corner of the CloudPrint app, and then enable or disable Compatibility Mode. If the issue still persists when Compatibility Mode is enabled, please contact Support.

What should I do if the print request times out?
If the print request times out, do the following:
  • Check whether paper is jammed in the printer. If not, the printer may have run out of ink, or the paper tray may be empty. Follow the prompts on the printer display to identify and fix the problem.
  • If there is paper in the tray, but the printer indicates that the paper tray is empty, the paper cartridge settings or printer preferences may be incorrect. Check that you have selected the correct type of paper.
If necessary, contact your IT administrator for assistance.
I've just sent a file to the print queue, but I didn't choose the correct printing preferences. Can I still change them?
Yes. In the CloudPrint app, go to the print queue, select the corresponding task, and then follow the steps in the screenshot below.

Why can't I change the page orientation when previewing an uploaded PDF file?
The page orientation of PDF files cannot be changed in the print preview page. If you need to change the page orientation, select the desired orientation in your PDF viewer, and then send the file directly to a local printer.
I configured the printer to print multiple copies of each page, but only one copy was printed. What should I do?
If you are using a Mac, the default print preview software does not allow you to print multiple copies of each page. If you require this function, open the document in Adobe Acrobat Reader and configure the printing preferences. Alternatively, convert the document to a PDF file and print it again.

Why does the CloudPrint app fail to respond when I scan a printer QR code?
If the CloudPrint app fails to respond when you scan a printer QR code, you may be using an old version of Feishu, or there may be a problem with your Internet connection. If you encounter this issue, try the following:
  • Check that your Internet connection is working.
  • Check that you are using the latest version of Feishu.
  • Restart Feishu and scan the QR code again.
Can I use CloudPrint to scan documents?
This feature is not currently supported. To scan or photocopy documents, use a printer with a scan function (follow the prompts on the printer's control panel).
Which paper sizes does CloudPrint support?
Currently, CloudPrint supports the following paper sizes: A4, A3, A5, Letter, Ledger, and Legal. Before printing, check which paper sizes are supported by your printer and select a compatible size from the above options.
Which file types does CloudPrint support?
You can use CloudPrint to upload the following types of files: JPEG, PNG, BMP, PDF, DOCX, DOC, PPTX, PPT, XLSX, and XLS. The maximum file size is 100 MB. There is no limit for files printed via a local printer.
Can I reprint an uploaded file?
This feature is not currently supported. For data security reasons, files are automatically deleted from the cloud server once they have finished printing. To reprint a file, you must send another print request. All files you upload to the CloudPrint server are transmitted and stored in an encrypted format and deleted immediately after printing to keep your data secure.
